I think my favorite part of the trip was the hike. I’m glad I got to go on such a cool trek with such cool people. I loved how everyone supported each other during the tough parts and at the campsites too. It just really felt like a group effort. My favorite part was the first night, where we all ate deconstructed s’mores and sat in one tent with no rain fly and looked up at the stars. They were the craziest stars I’ve ever seen. You could see the Milky Way in the sky, which I’ve never seen before, and there were so many shooting stars. The sky was filled with stars everywhere you look in a way I’ve never seen before. Seeing that view, exhausted out of my mind, and all of us scrunched into one tent is something I hope I never forget. I’m grateful for everyone on this trip and for all of the good times we’ve had, but I’m most grateful for how well we all get along, as a group. The dynamic is so good, and everyone is friends with everyone, and it’s clear that each of us cares for everyone else individually, but also as a whole. And while we may have been forced to be her together, I think we did a really good job creating something together for people who otherwise never would have met.
