Temple ruins in Amman, Jordan Summer Program.

As someone who is constantly consumed by wanderlust, I’m beyond excited to start the new year with travel, and to the Middle East! It still comes as a shock to me that I will be going to Jordan, but I’m eager to see what this trip has in store for me. This is my second time going on a trip with Dragons, so I know from past experiences that a Dragons trip is nothing short of challenging, eye-opening, and all around fun. My first Dragons trip was to Dominican Republic, the island I call home, and while I spent a lot of my life there, it was interesting to learn new things about my country and its history and view my country from both the perspective of a tourist and of someone who grew up there and is familiar with the culture and customs. So, I’m really interested to see the ways in which this Jordan Trip challenges and changes my understanding of the country, all while allowing me to develop intimate connections with the culture and its people. And, because with every trip like this one tends to learn things about themselves they never knew or realized, I’m looking forward to reflecting more deeply on who I am and how this trip affected me more personally. So, I’ll reiterate, I’m so so sooo excited to experience this trip, and I’m so grateful that I can experience this trip with some of my best friends!
