Return Journey

Dear family and friends,

After heartfelt goodbyes and some tears, our group took the next steps on our journey home—a journey that started yesterday as we left transference to travel from Bira, a tiny beach town in Southern Sulawesi, through Makassar to Jakarta. For many, the journey home began the moment we boarded our flights to Indonesia, bringing us on a journey of self-discovery and gratitude leading back to the relationships that constitute us, that nurture us, and that root us in this big, messy world.

Though the group has gone through customs and immigration and is preparing to board flights, we want to take one more chance to share some gratitude for all the folks who have supported this journey — we could not have done this without you.

And while our groupmembers prepare to head off in different directions, we know this isn’t a real goodbye, but more of a sampai jumpa—until next time!

With Gratitude,

I-Team Indonesia
