Hello people reading this! Just a short update on what has been going on:

We are currently doing a second homestay in Dogarmo, a small monastery village in Tibet. During these next few days, we will be expressing to the admin how the trip has gone and feedback for our instructors. Some of us are also currently at the nearby summer school hanging out with the kids. And in three days we will be flying back to Los Angeles from Xining. L.

These past two weeks in Tibet have been quite the journey, very different from the cities we visited in China. Rebgong was the one major city we visited in Tibet, but it was EXTREMELY small and local compared to Shanghai. We saw many cool shops, ate some delicious food, and visited a HUGE monastery!

Before Rebgong, we had our homestays in Sakor (which is 30 minutes away from Rebgong). I’m not sure about everyone else, but the homestay was a great learning experience for me. I really enjoyed immersing myself in Tibetan culture and life, and, of course, getting to know my family.

The three pictures in order: the first is an image of Rebgong from the roof of our hotel, the second one is of the village we are in now, and the last one is of the tents in Sakor in which we all spent time with our first homestay families.

Thanks for reading!!
