The Greatest Wall

We voyaged to Kou’s house at dawn to set a course for the Great Wall of China. After nearly two hours in a bus we were shown our rooms and had a typical Chinese lunch. We then all worked on a brain dump of all the skill we learned and the memories we have of the last two weeks. Next, we presented these in a dramatic dance consisting of our past travels. We ventured through the village to the trailhead that seemed intimidating and very rocky. Once we reached the top there we were all awestruck by the beauty that the wall beholds. We had silent time to journal and reflect on the experiences that have shaped our past three weeks. After hiking back in the dark, we had a splendid dinner and an activity where we closed the program by watering seeds and we all tied bracelets around each other’s wrists to bring good fortune to our future.
