An Afternoon with Oscar

This afternoon our group had the pleasure of meeting Oscar Olivera. Oscar has been a political organizer for the past forty years and is most well known for the decisive role he played in the Cochabamba Water Wars. He came down to our little farm house to share with us not only the story of the Water Wars, but also about the importance of grassroots organization and the power of the people. Oscar is an inspiring and youthful figure whose work will definitely be something we continue to think about and discuss as a group. Thank you Oscar!
