An afternoon with a woodworker

For our group artisan ISP in Essaouira, Courtney, Henry, and I visited a woodworker whom we had met earlier in the day. He clearly took a lot of pride in his work and loved to show others his products. As it turns out, his father produced pieces for the king and his family had lived in Essaouira for 140 years. We got to see the table he had been working on for the past few months and got to inlay metal and mother of pearl into some scrap wood he gave us (which we got to keep). It was an amazing experience to just watch this master work and talk about his mastery with him.
