Student Introduction

Hi everyone! My name is Francisco Serafín, but everybody calls me Paco. I am 17 years old and I was born and raised in beautiful Mexico City. I study at Tecnológico de Monterrey with José Miguel Espinosa, who will also be joining us in China this summer. I am very excited about this trip because of the amazing learning opportunities it has to offer. It is my first time leaving the continent, so I look very forward to having new experiences and leaving my comfort zone as much as I can. One of my favorite hobbies is cruising the city in my 92′ Volkswagen Beetle, however Mexico City’s traffic is always a problem. Also, I love sports. That is why I have practiced a bunch of them, such as soccer, tennis, swimming, karate, and more.

The reason I chose China over the rest of the of programs is that China is such a famous country, yet there is so much left to know about its culture, history, people, economy and politics. During this program, I hope to cover all this aspects and to discover new ones that help me construct a more profound and detailed image of China.

Can’t wait to meet everyone in LA!
