“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.” –Nelson Mandela
Bellow are few basic Indonesian phrases that you can start practicing at home and on the plane to Indonesia. You’ll quickly realize how even a few words in Bahasa Indonesia can help open up thousands of conversations and opportunities. Of all the languages in Southeast Asia, Indonesian is among the most accessible, so get a head-start! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND ordering an Indonesian dictionary and/or phrase book before you arrive (if we had to choose between one or the other, go with the dictionary. Also, you can get them used for half the price).
