Trek View on Nepal: Himalayan Studies Gap Year Semester with Where There Be Dragons

Can it really be almost over?

Sitting in the ancient Newari hilltop of Bandipur we begin Transference. Transference is a time to look back. To remember the good memories, the difficult ones, and the times where we struggled but persevered. In these past 80 days we have to name a few things endured mountains of rice on our plates, hiked in the high Himalayas, and spent nearly a week at a Buddhist monastery. Transference allows us to look back upon our accomplishments and gain pride and confidence in what we have achieved.

Transference is not just a time to look back but also to look forward. We look not just at all we have accomplished, but how to we carry the tools and skills we that we have learned with us after we return home. Excited and nervous energy fill the room, but we are confident with the next steps we will be taking.

See everyone soon!
