At our home stay, we’ve spent a lot of time experiencing life in the foothills of the Himalayas. It’s been a lot of sitting on the roof and admiring the villages and vegetables. We learned a new technique for growing vegetables and went a ceremony called Jagar. In the ceremony; we watched as a man called the gods into a woman’s body using drums. She then acted as a medium to allow the people to communicate with the gods. Anywho, despite this brief intermission, we did spend most of our time near the garden. Here are all of the things we learned and witnessed!
